Narrail — Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are a contract between you and the operator of Narrail identified below. By creating an account, signing in, or using the Narrail app (the "App" or "Service") you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Who operates the Service

Narrail is operated by Individual Entrepreneur Aliaksandr Audzei ("Narrail", "we", "us"), registered with the LEPL National Agency of Public Registry of Georgia, Identification Number 304736828, registered 29/08/2024, legal address: Georgia, Tbilisi, Krtsanisi district, Fonichala settlement 3, building 5, hall 2, floor 4.

2. The Service

Narrail records your voice on-device, transcribes it (on-device or, when available, via our server-assisted pipeline), and — when you choose — parses the transcript into tasks with dates using a third-party AI model. An optional text-based assistant lets you manage your tasks through typed conversation. Recording, transcription, local storage, and search are available free of charge. AI structuring, the chat assistant, date extraction, and reminders are part of the Pro subscription.

Sign-in is optional for core capture but required for cloud-dependent features (AI structuring, chat assistant, cross-device subscription status). We authenticate you with a one-time code sent to the email address you provide — see the Privacy Policy for what that involves.

3. Your content

You own your recordings, transcripts, and tasks. We claim no rights over them beyond what is needed to operate the Service (e.g., transiently transmitting audio or text to a processing provider at your request). Your permanent recordings and transcripts are stored locally on your device. Server-side processing windows (audio, transcript text sent for parsing, assistant messages) are transient and are not retained as a searchable copy of your notes on our servers. You are responsible for your own device backups; uninstalling the app deletes local data that was never synced elsewhere.

4. Subscriptions and billing

• Pro is offered as a monthly or annual auto-renewing subscription, with a free trial where available. Pricing is shown in the app in your local currency.
• Billing is handled by the App Store or Google Play, using RevenueCat to manage entitlement state. Manage or cancel your subscription in your store account; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not process your payment card details ourselves.
• Availability by region. In some regions (including Russia) in-app payments are not available. There, Narrail runs on the free tier and no purchase is offered.

5. Calendar access

Narrail can show your Apple Calendar next to your tasks. Calendar access is read-only and entirely on-device (iOS only): events are read through EventKit with the permission you grant and are never sent to our servers. You can revoke that permission at any time in iOS Settings. Writing an event to your calendar happens only when you explicitly confirm it.

6. Acceptable use

Do not use Narrail to break the law, or to record or process the speech of other people without the consent required where you are. Do not attempt to misuse, reverse-engineer, or overload the Service, or use it to generate content that is unlawful, infringing, or abusive. You are solely responsible for how you use recordings, transcripts, and AI output you create.

7. AI output

Tasks, dates, and assistant suggestions produced by AI are suggestions, not facts. Narrail independently verifies model-provided dates on-device against the phrase you spoke, but the result can still be wrong — review before relying on it. No AI action creates a reminder, calendar event, or notification, or modifies, completes, or deletes a task, without your explicit confirmation.

8. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time by deleting the app or requesting account deletion (see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend or terminate access for use that violates these Terms or applicable law, or to comply with a legal obligation.

9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. Narrail is a note-taking and task-organizing aid, not a substitute for your own judgment about deadlines, appointments, or obligations. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability for any claim arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

10. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Georgia, without regard to conflict of law principles. Nothing in this section limits any mandatory consumer protection or data protection rights you have under the law of your place of residence, which continue to apply where required.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, show a notice in the app before they take effect. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept them.
